The Shine Project: Pay it Forward

Have you ever visited The Shine Project? Have you tweeted with Ashley? Have you taken a look at how this normal, Arizona girl is making a HUGE impact on this world?? She is a true testament to the saying “One person can make a difference…” Every time you visit her blog she is inspiring millions of people, she is heading up events to help the less fortunate, she is giving out scholarships to those deserving, she is full of kind words and great style – if you haven’t checked her out, do it now! {but let’s be serious, who hasn’t?!}
I have watched her blog grow from just about the beginning and have talked with her along her journey. She is truly an inspiration. And to add to her successes she is beginning a new project today… and by she… I mean WE. This is project that could impact us all – whether we are in Arizona, Ohio, or halfway across the world. With a simple little notion of paying it forward – we may spark a revolution. Ashley asked me to help introduce this project to the world {I felt a lil special that she wanted my help!} and now I’m asking for your help…
Pass It Forward was designed to get people to do little things, everyday, that makes an impact on the community around them. Pass it Forward is designed around a card (read card that I’ve attached now so you understand). Each card is given a unique ID number. Lets say we’re at McDonalds, and I decide to pay for the person behind me in the drive through. I’d give the cashier the card, and tell them to pass it along to the next car when the give them the food that has been paid for. I then go home and log into the website that was on the card, and find my unique ID number. I log into it, and add my information… My first name, city, and a description of what I did….
Let’s say the person behind me was you, you would pass it forward to someone else, and then would go home and do the same thing. From the very beginning, you will be able to track where your card goes, and how many people you affect just by doing one simple act of kindness.
Cards will be given with every purchase from the SHOP, or you can purchase a pack of 10 for very cheap from the shop as well. Portions of all proceeds go to the shine scholarship project, so you can feel good about your purchase.

I’m excited to see how many people we affect by doing this.
Imagine tracking your card, and over a period of time, seeing that 100 other people
had good things happen to them just because you did something simple.

TheShineProjectGrab this button from her site and be a part of this project. It doesn’t take a lot from you – just a simple act of kindness to someone who probably needs it more than you know.
