Book Nerd.

I’m intrigued and inspired by all these girls posting about what they’re reading, what they plan to read, and what they think of the books they read… so I’m giving it a whirl… I really need to read more and be “plugged-in” less. That’s a huge goal of mine. {How sad is that? What in the world did we do before smart phones and laptops?!}

The book titles link up to my Good Reads account. {Are you on there? We should be friends!}

My 2012 reading list…

  1. Catching Fire {The Hunger Games #2} by Suzanne Collins. On hold
  2. The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. Still waiting.
  3. If You Have to Cry: Go Outside by Kelly Cutrone. Always Reading. {it’s an amazing, motivating, and uber inspiring book}
  4. Hush, Hush saga by Becca Fitzpatrick. Finished. {This was one of my favorite books I’ve read… It’s very hard for me to get into a trilogy or saga of any sort. I have a short attention span. I never finished Twilight, I am still working on Hunger Games. I usually get bored after book #2… so for me to make it thru all 3 books and desperately wishing the final book was out – says a lot. If you like the paranormal, sci-fi, forbidden romance stuff – read this saga. I’m a sucker for all of those things – so I LOVED it.}
  5. Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy by E.L. James. Starting. {Loved this – can not say enough good things about it – no, the writing isn’t Pulitzer Prize winning, but the story is a good one.}
I keep thinking about a Kindle… and I haven’t decided how I feel about it. I love having a book, turning the pages, seeing the wear and tear of the books as I read them, I like having books on a shelf – call it nostalgia – call it crazy – but that’s why I haven’t quite jumped on the Kindle bandwagon yet. But I can completely see why a Kindle would be nice – less bulk, books delivered quickly, etc. What are your thoughts?
What are you reading? What’s your favorite book? What should I be reading?
