I’m probably pumped full of Red Bull, jamming to some country tunes, and driving my Mom crazy by this point. {I’m almost positive of all of those things – she tends to tune me out when I just talk for the sake of talking – and I’m sure I’m doing that. Kinda like I’m doing now…} Anywho….

Follow me on Instagram {jacmaries} and Twitter {@jacmaries} to see my adventures in NC this weekend! I’m sure I’ll post lots of pictures! And drive everyone crazy while doing so… #sorryimnotsorry

i’m engaged. my fiance has four beautiful children [all 10 years and younger]. i use a giant diaper bag as my purse. i grew up in green bay [the city], but the northwoods [the country] is where i always want to be. i have a major sweet tooth. i love photographing children and am currently working on business plans to start as a professional [i have great models at home]. brown is my favorite color. i love gardening. i love fresh flowers.

here’s my currently for you:

READING : the power of a praying wife : stormie omartian … i got it as an engagement gift and it’s a powerful book. i love it. i don’t have much time to read lately. i would love to read more.

WATCHING : monsters vs. aliens … i’m just watching fx this morning. i needed something light-hearted and i was getting tired of the today show. really, i’m waiting for say yes to the dress & what not to wear to come on. or possibly reruns of design star [my show at the moment].

ANTICIPATING : wednesday. i’m on vacation starting saturday for a week, but i’m excited to spend an entire week with my stepchildren. i’m also anticipating my family vacation in july. a retreat in the woods for a week. we have little league tuesdays and thursday [2 boys playing], plus the oldest plays tournament ball wednesday, friday through sunday. it’s exhausting!

LAUGHING ABOUT : how i can’t go to a baseball game without my youngest two stepsons turning into little mud monkeys. i swear we bathe them twice a day.

LISTENING TO : miranda lambert. anything by miranda lambert.

EATING : toast with blackberry jam. i could use a nice breakfast out to eat, however.

WORKING ON : our registry… it’s taking forever. we worked on it for HOURS last night together and i think my fiance’s had enough. we are almost done though!

WISHING : it would rain so i don’t have to water the garden today. i know that sounds lazy, but i just weeded it and watered it before bed. our carrots and lettuce are coming up so it’s in constant need of care and i’m just not in the mood.

it was so nice to be with you today! hope you will join me over at [confessions of a wisconsin housewife]! stop by and let me know you were here! i’d love to meet you!

Guest Post: Meet Morgan from Gypsy Soul!

Ever have one of those days where you really have nothing to say? Nothing has inspired you, nothing exciting is happening, just kinda blahhh…
Well, one of the BEST things about blogging is coming across other AWESOME bloggers who want to share a little bit of themselves in your little bloggy bubble. It’s the cool thing to do, kids. So, get on it.
I came across Morgan on Twitter actually – one of those “similar to you” sidebar things. And as it turns out, she’s pretty cool and she’s got a pretty cute little blog. She chats about fashion, travel, and all things girlie. What’s not to love?
So she and I started tweeting and thought it’d be fun to do a little blog swap… Without further ado, meet Morgan…

Hey everyone! Im Morgan from Gypsy Soul!

I’m somewhat new to the Bloggy world but, I recently became a reader of JacMarie and I’m hooked! Such inspiring and creative posts from this babe! I am particularly in love with those knit scarves of hers.

Ok so today I am going along with Jac’s November theme, Being Thankful!

I think it is easy to forget about all the small things that we take for granted everyday: So, here’s my list… What are you all thankful for?

Health: Health is something that most people (including me) take for granted, until something happens and brings it back to reality. I am thankful to be healthy, as well as the health of my family and friends!

My Parents/Family: I am so thankful to have the most supportive parents in the world!  They always put up with my craziness, and for that, I am thankful.

Puppies: I have a slight obsession with dogs.  Especially mine. I continually have to remind myself that she is not human.  I just want to take her everywhere, I constantly find myself talking to her in a baby voice (absurd, yes).  She brings so much joy, and I am so thankful for my little nugget!

Avocados: Ok, if your still reading this, you are probably like, this girl is crazy. But I love these fruits? Or is it a veggie? Not sure. But I eat them plain, but them on a sandwich, smash them up to make guacamole, (always order extra at Chipotle) it really doesn’t matter what form it is in, I’m in love and I’m so grateful that they exist.

Lastly, I am so thankful for my friends: I have met some pretty amazing people on this journey, some from super far away. And some really close to home.  Each one has a special place in my life.  I am so excited to grow up with such a fun cast of characters!

If you aren’t completely bored at this point, be sure to check out my Blog! I capture some fun moments traveling abroad, and my latest fashion obsessions!

Pop on over and check out this lovely doll’s blog. You won’t regret it.
Happy Wednesday, pretties.
Love always.

Guest Blog Post: Missy from Yellow Duck Cookies {Happy Bday Eve}

Hey pumpkins!
Happy Saturday, did y’all have a fun Friday evening?!
As I said yesterday it’s Missy’s birthday tomorrow and I thought it would be fun to have her guest blog on her birthday eve! {And we know that I LOVEEEEE birthdays and celebrate any way possible – so you know that’s how we are doing hers!}
Here she goes…
Hello! My name is Melissa and Jackie asked me to guest blog on her site! I am a Fashion graduate from Ohio University and I own Yellow Duck Cookies.  I currently live in Columbus,Ohio. This blog is going to be the about the main things in my closet right now and just some of my fashion favorites.

- The color Marigold. I’m obsessed with this color! My purse is this color and the cardigan I own this color I wear constantly. My favorite colors to match it with are Royal Blue and Plum Purple.

- FLATS! I am starting to become very fond of Mary Jane inspired strappy flats. They have such a vintage and girly feel to them. I wear flats with everything and they have taken over my flip flop love and let me tell you that is serious.

- Vintage inspired summer dresses. You will more likely never find me in a skin tight sexy dress. It’s just not me. I love high waisted girly cute dresses. They are the most flattering on me and the most comfortable. My birthday is next week, any of these will do :)
- I’m not looking forward to the humidity and heat at all because this means my tights are going away for awhile. I’ve been trying to stay out of the tanning bed and wearing these tights have helped with the paleness I hate! Tights bring so much character to an outfit.

- My style icon is Sherri Dupree Bemis from the band Eisley. I first saw them open for Snow Patrol in 2004 and have been a huge fan since. She is a very confident person and dresses and does her style at her own will. I’ve seen her in every hair color and in outfits I would have never even thought of then been like wow that is adorable. She inspires my daily fashion an she is just quite adorable in every aspect. This is someones closet i would love to have! Yep that’s my girl crush! Haha

This past year I’ve been very nostalgic with my fashion. I love Mary Janes and ballet flats from my childhood. I have found myself loving Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty again… And I’ve seen it in all the stores. I would kill to still fit in these outfits!!!

I hope you enjoyed my guest blog as much as I loved writing it! Have a great week!
Melissa
Fun right?! Hope you guys enjoyed it and have a fabulous Saturday!!!!
Love always.

Twitter. Greta. Wedding Inspiration.

I have really come to love the twitter/blogger community. It’s so refreshing to “meet” and chat with other people across the country who are doing the same things and support one another. It’s hard to imagine life before social media – what did we do before then??? {I even get most of my news from Twitter – thank you NBC4i for that! Sad isn’t it??}
Yada, yada, yada… get to the point Jackie. {Sometimes I just start rambling… I apologize.}
Anyhow – I have asked my dear, sweet friend Greta of NL Designs to do a little guest post for me today – It’s always nice to have someone else do the talking! And she’s fab – I know you guys will love her and enjoy getting to know her just as much as I have!

Hi everyone! My name is Greta and I am from the great state of Wisconsin! I was born and raised in Titletown, USA, 4 blocks from the World Champion Green Bay Packers :) I now live in central Wisconsin with the love of my life and his four children from his previous marriage. Ever since I was little I’ve had a passion for weddings. I love reading wedding blogs, planning weddings and doing DIY projects for the big day.

[partying at Lambeau immediately after the Packers won the Superbowl!]

I currently have an Etsy Shop that is undergoing reconstructive surgery. When I started the shop in February, I decided to sell fun things that I really enjoy making for affordable prices. However, as my blog evolved more and more, I’ve recently decided to clearance everything out in the shop in order bring in a line of wedding products! I’ll be featuring a line of cupcake toppers, table numbers, save-the-date cards, bridal headbands and more!

Here’s a shameless plug before I begin my guest post today… there are two things you can do! You can [visit my blog] and find a coupon code for an additional 30% off my products that are clearanced anywhere from 40-80% already! The other thing you can do is enter my first giveaway! Have fun!

So I met Jacqueline via twitter at the beginning of her blog. We became great friends instantly and can sit for hours and talk [though we've never met in person!]. We LOVE to talk about love and weddings and so today I wanted to share an inspiration board that I’ve created for her based on some of her favorite color combinations!
